On 6th September 2018 the SURREY OLD DOGS visited Laurel Tree Farm Shop as part of their schedule of local walks. That time they walked up through the orchards from Eridge Station, visited the shop, sampled our fruit and made their purchases, before heading off to Crowborough Station for the train home.
They enjoyed themselve because the 'Old Dogs' visited again on 23rd May (2019).
This time they walked from Crowborough Station to Laurel Tree Farm Shop, so that they then had a "gentle" downhill walk through the orchards to Eridge Station (& The Huntsman Pub !)
They had asked to place their fruit and perishables in our chiller while they walked on further, and when Jacqui (our shop manager) delivered to them later that afternoon ready for their trip home they were to be found having lunch in The Huntsman (you can see the photographic evidence down below!). No big surprise there really......and Jacqui didn't seem to mind being invited to join them for lunch. A lovely group of guys whom we hope to see again.
And determined not to be put off by Covid-19 the Surrey Old Dogs returned again on 10th September 2020....this time walking in groups of 6, after travelling on the train down from Oxted with one whole carriage available per group of 6....they told us!
And their cheeky beer mat "calling card" below.....still hasn't been corrected....!.
